Picoway Laser for Acne Scar Removal
Achieve smoother, clearer skin with Picoway laser technology. Specifically designed to target and break down the deep pigments and tissue associated with acne scars, Picoway offers a fast, effective, and minimal downtime solution. Using ultra-short pulses, this advanced laser stimulates collagen production, helping to refine skin texture and reduce the appearance of scars. With fewer sessions required and minimal discomfort, Picoway is the ideal choice for those looking to improve their skin’s appearance and regain confidence.

PicoWay uses ultra-short laser pulses to break apart pigment in the skin without relying on heat. This allows your body to naturally clear away excess pigment, reducing the appearance of brown spots, sun spots, freckles, and other forms of hyperpigmentation.

Yes! PicoWay’s advanced technology makes it safe and effective for all skin tones. Unlike traditional lasers that use heat (which can cause unwanted side effects in darker skin tones), PicoWay’s picosecond pulses target pigment with minimal risk.

The number of sessions depends on the size, depth, and type of pigmentation being treated. Most people see noticeable improvement after just one session, but for deeper pigmentation, 2–3 treatments may be recommended.

PicoWay is minimally uncomfortable—most people describe it as a mild snapping or tingling sensation. If needed, a topical numbing cream can be applied before treatment to maximize comfort.

Before Treatment:

Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least three weeks before your appointment.
Stay well-hydrated to support your skin and lymphatic system.
Avoid harsh skincare products like retinoids, exfoliants, and acids for a few days before treatment.

After Treatment:

Apply a medical-grade hydrating cream to soothe and support skin healing.
Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen daily to protect your skin and maintain results.
Drink plenty of water to help your lymphatic system flush out broken-down pigment.
Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for at least three weeks after treatment.
Refrain from harsh exfoliation or active skincare products for a few days post-treatment.

You can typically resume your retinoid and full skincare routine about 5–7 days after your PicoWay treatment, or once any redness and sensitivity has fully subsided.

For best results:

First 48 hours: Stick to gentle, hydrating skincare (medical-grade moisturizer and SPF). Avoid harsh ingredients.
After 3–5 days: Gradually reintroduce mild active ingredients like vitamin C or gentle exfoliants, if your skin feels comfortable.
After 5–7 days: You can resume retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and stronger actives, but start slowly to avoid irritation.
Always follow post-treatment guidance from your provider, and if you experience any irritation, wait a bit longer before resuming strong skincare products.

There is little to no downtime with PicoWay. You may experience mild redness or darkening of the treated areas immediately after the session, but this fades within a few days as your skin naturally clears the pigment.

Results can be seen within a few weeks, as the body gradually breaks down and eliminates pigment. Some spots may lighten immediately, while others take a few sessions to fully fade.

Yes! PicoWay is one of the safest and most effective laser treatments for melasma, as it works without generating excessive heat, which can sometimes make melasma worse.

Results are long-lasting, but new sun exposure can cause pigmentation to return. To maintain your results, it’s important to wear sunscreen daily and follow a good skincare routine.

Anyone with age spots, sun spots, freckles, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), or melasma looking for a safe, effective, and quick treatment is a great candidate for PicoWay.

While PicoWay is safe for most people, you may need to avoid treatment if you:

Have active skin infections, open wounds, or cold sores in the treatment area.
Have a history of keloid scarring or poor wound healing.
Are taking photosensitizing medications (such as certain antibiotics or Accutane).
Have recently tanned skin (from the sun, tanning beds, or self-tanners) within the last two weeks.

Have an autoimmune skin condition that may affect healing (such as lupus or vitiligo).
